About Dr. Kerr

Dr. Rebecca Kerr is a dual board-certified physician in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. Dr. Kerr is affiliated with multiple hospitals and surgery centers in Los Angeles and South-Bay areas. Dr. Kerr has been practicing Pain Management exclusively for over 20 years. She has extensive experience with many complicated and rare disorders which cause moderate to severe chronic pain. As such, she is trusted and renowned in the community for her vast knowledge and comprehensive and thorough approach to each patient. Dr. Kerr offers a variety of pain management services including Ultrasound and X-ray guided spinal, nerve, joint, soft tissue, and trigger point injections, education about individual pain syndromes, their diagnoses, treatment and prognosis and medication management. Medication management emphasizes use of non-opiate, non-addicting drugs and includes reduction or elimination of drugs which have risk of dependency, misuse and abuse whenever possible. Dr. Kerr coordinates interdisciplinary care of patients with other providers including the primary care provider and other specialists such as neurology, orthopedics, spine surgery, rheumatology, gastroenterology, psychiatry and behavioral or mental health providers making referrals when necessary. She also has referral sources for physical therapy, massage therapy, heat/cold therapy, aquatics therapy, isometric strengthening, cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as other services.

Rebecca Kerr, M.D., has lived most of her life in California. She grew up adjacent to the UCLA campus in Westwood. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Bacteriology at the same campus, began a combined M.D/Ph.D. program at the same institution, and ultimately decided to specialize in clinical medicine rather than research. After receiving her M.D. from UCLA, she completed her internship, residency, and fellowship there, with specialty rotations in anesthesia and pain management, which would direct the course of her clinical practice. Dr. Kerr's hobbies include horseback riding, skiing, and hiking. She also is an accomplished flutist and is a first soprano in the choir at her local synagogue.
